ALTUEQUI.
Altuequi Cultural Group
It was founded in the Bejuma municipality, Carabobo state in January 1996 by the young theatrical artist Julio Cesar Uzcátegui Pinto, who brings together several performing artists with experience in different disciplines. At first, they start with productions in stilts and later the puppets, pantomimes, oral narration, music, dance, and circus techniques (Clown, stunts, and juggling).
Among his works, the following stand out Los stilts Musicos. Show with mixed animation, choreography, and stilt stunts, animated by live music (percussion and metals). El hechizo de la Doncella. A story involving the performance of circus arts, stilt acrobatics, dance, and firework. Los caricatos, the theatre clown, brings to the table the old physical street comedy mixed with pantomimes.
In 2008 they started a project called Centro de Formación e Investigacion Popular de las Artes Escenicas in which they provide attention to children, girls, and young people from the Valles Altos de Carabobo in Venezuela with free training workshops in different disciplines.
To date, there have been six editions of the Festival Comunitario de Artes Altuequi, carried out in the High Valleys of Carabobo to serve the communities further away from urban areas and educational institutions. In this festival groups on local, regional, and national levels participate with proposals such as street theatre, dances, and other artistic expressions especially aimed at children.
The Altuequi Cultural Group has been present at various meetings and festivals held in our country. Among them The International Festival of the East (Anzoátegui), The Theater Festival for Neighbors, The National Meeting of Puppeteers TIRIGUA; the Festival of Art and Tourism (Amazonas) The International Festival of the arts (Miranda State), The Circus Visit to the Portuguese State and the National Theater Festival Tovar (Merida State). LIVETEATRO
LiveTeatro is a group that was born in response to the theater and street art crisis in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, a situation that in itself gave us the opportunity to join forces and create an online community of artists, where we continue to be creative at Despite the circumstances that coerce us, it is what moves us to continue working more than ever.
In charge of the theatrical direction is the Director Cayetana Roman Ruiz de la Mora who in her journey has been a singer-songwriter, judge, lawyer, mediator, agent of equality and gender violence, teacher, lecturer, actress among others.
The cast is scattered around the world but focused on a single idea, to give our best to promote the dramatic arts, from London through Spain, Argentina, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Washington DC this theater group is generating works and shows that are soon to be released in an online version.
